Current Departments: There is no undergraduate school, only a master's program and a doctoral program. The present departments are Division of Agricultural and Food Engineering, Division of Computer Application, Division of Energy Technology, Division of Environment Engineering, Division of Human Settlement Development, Division of Industrial Engineering and Management, Division of Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering, Division of Structural Engineering and Construction, and Division of Water Resources Engineering.
Qualified Applicants: Holders of a bachelor's degree from any college or university, public or private (applicants for the doctoral program must possess a master's degree).
Application Procedures: Applicants sent by an agency or organization shall apply through the Ministry of Education. Individual applicants shall apply directly to AIT through either of two routes:
1) Contact the Ministry of Education's Bureau of International Cultural and Educational Relations for basic information on AIT and then write for an application to Head of Registry, AIT, P.O. Box 2754, Bangkok, Thailand.
2) Contact the AIT Chinese Alumni Association for an application form. The address is 10th F1., No. 207, Sung Chiang Rd., Taipei. Tel: (02) 503-2233, ext. 366.
Whether they obtain an application form from AIT itself or from the alumni association, all applicants must take part in the test held by an AIT representative sent to Taiwan.
Necessary Documents: 1) Academic transcript. 2) TOEFL transcript. 3) Two letters of recommendation.
Scholarships: All students receive a full scholarship, US$18,000 for the master's program and US$30,000 for the doctoral program. The scholarships cover tuition, room and board, textbook expenses, medical insurance, and round-trip airfare.
Application Periods: January, May, and September each year.
