A tasty treat combining the hearty flavors of beef sinew and potatoes, White Juice Beef is easy to prepare and an ideal dinnertime dish.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 kilograms of beef sinew
2 potatoes
3T salad oil
6 bowls of clear water (rice bowl size)
1 piece of fresh ginger
1 stalk of onion
Flavor Mix:
1t salt
1T cooking wine (preferably rice wine)
Procedure:
1. First wash the beef sinew in water and cut into section pieces. Place in boiling water and simmer for 1 minute. Remove beef pieces and wash in cool water.
2. Peel potatoes and slice into small pieces. Place the pieces in the clear water and soak for 5 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a wok or suitable pan. Add ginger and onion and stir fry until fragrant. Place beef pieces in the wok and stir fry for another 3 minutes. Then add the flavor mix ingredients and water.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil under a high flame, then gradually reduce to low flame, and simmer for half an hour. Add the potato pieces and continue to cook for a further 30 minutes. If the mixture appears a little dry, add a small amount of water. Serve and enjoy.
