"Romantic breakers,
mysterious pagodas,
beautiful batik,
exotic delicacies,
how can you not come to Indonesia?"
Each year the eye-catching travel poster attracts waves of tourists to the Indonesian Archipelago.
One small group is an exception. They go to Indonesia not for tourism but as "go-betweens." They include personnel from China Steel Corporation and the Retired Servicemen's Engineering Agency, who have invested over three years of effort in building Indonesia's first cold-rolling steel mill.
This is the ROC's highest-level technology export to date.

Rich in natural resources, undeveloped, and full of a primitive, tropical air, Indonesia is not only a favorite destination for tourists but also an object of competition among economic "adventurers" of many countries looking for overseas markets.
