I, a spirit roaming the night...
Heart, lying noble and forlorn on the ground...
Night, enveloping all, gently, absolutely...
Released on Chungshan North Road, my soul and I,
two pilgrims in search of freedom.
In the still and silent night,
I converse with my self,
commune with each plant, each brick.
At the heart of the silent solitude,
in the depths of the deafening roar,
is an illusion of shadow,
a tangible glance,
a fleeting, frightened misericordia.
Life and death-ever pure, ever flowing,
coming and going in the cycling tide of night.
Long night-drifting, dodging
amongst the trees of Chungshan North Road.
And I-nourished by the artery of night, deep in thought.
My first photo exhibit, Life and Death in the Night,
brought me face-to-face with the vicissitudes of life.
And now, once again, I've used the night
to paint a portrait of my inner world.
It blooms forth, then disappears,
now intersects, later runs parallel
in the busy hub-bub of life.
