In Yangming Shan National Park, a young photographer has captured many vivid scenes from Nature.
"I've always believed that the process of photographic creation has something serendipitous about it, surpassing planning and calculation," he says. "In fact, I came upon the sulfur valley at Hsiao Youkang when I was lost one day. I did seek out Matsao, also known as Rainbow Bridge. But I stumbled on Ta Youkang by chance. And Ta Huangtsuei Geyser, forgotten off in the southwest corner of the park, was another accidental discovery."
Chou Hsiang-lu's pictures are lovely, colorful washes, making one doubt whether they really come from rocky cliffs and mountain valleys. But the scenes indeed exist, hidden away up in the park.
Some of Chou's photographs from the four locations he mentioned follow.

For millions of years
it has been here
on the mountainside
covered with grass
wrapped in mist
And the great oars that row through Time
explored the distant fairyland of its surface patterns
One morning
I came here quietly
and hastily slipped past its ankle
while it was still asleep
I am a patch of cloud
patiently waiting
waiting for the rainbow
of the brook's playful water
Discarded bits
of wood and broken tile
unquestioning Nature silently
sealing its wounds
Travel bags packed
let me step into the vast expanse of remote antiquity
Tread lightly
don't hurt it
new wounds shouldn't be opened
on wounds that aren't yet healed
Through the ages
even a stubborn stone
shows scars
Time is a most patient aggressor
Sulfur silent among the peaks
a fairyland alembic distilling elixir
