During the second half of February, a Sinorama work group visited Indonesia and Singapore for twelve days. The fruits of their visit are presented as this month's cover story, "A Passage to Indonesia."
Counting from the Republic of China's first agricultural mission to Liberia in 1961, the ROC has actively promoted international technical cooperation now for 26 years. Over that time, the cooperation has expanded from Africa to Latin America, the Middle East, and the Pacific Basin, and the projects from agriculture to fishing, animal husbandry, light industry, medicine, and the transfer of engineering and technological know-how.
Sinorama visited Indonesia twice before, in 1982, and looked at China Steel Corporation's work on the Cilegon cold-rolling steel mill, the ROC's largest technology export to date. This month's "Selling Technology Across the Seas" and "Following Engineering Out Into the World" give detailed reports.
April 4th is Children's Day in the ROC "Pictures by Little Hands" reminds us that those little fellows have something to say.
