3 Chinese crullers
1/2cup sweet red bean paste
2t sugar
vinegar oil for deep-frying the crullers
1. Cut the Chinese crullers into small sections about 5cm in length. Add small amounts of the sweet red bean paste into the center of the crullers.
2. Mix the sugar and vinegar in a small cup.
3. Add a small amount of water to the cornstarch and mix.
4. After the oil is piping hot, lower the flame and then deep fry the crullers until they are golden brown. Remove and place on a serving dish.
5. In another pan, add two spoonfuls of heated oil and about 1/2cup of water as well as the sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil. Add cornstarch and stir. Pour over crullers. Serve hot.
