Dear Sinorama:
I first learned about Sinorama listening to "The Voice of Asia." I have already received three issues of Sinorama. The feature I always turn to first is the "Song of the Month."
I particularly enjoyed the April song, "Young Heart." It has a nice quick beat, is easy to sing, and has excellent lyrics.
I wasn't surprised to see that March's song was "Happy Heaven," but I thought that the song "Hero" might have been a stronger competitor. The "Hero" must really have "bit the dust"!
The choice of "Flower on the Sea" for February's issue, however, was a little unexpected. It's not a bad song, but I feel that "Flying into the Future" would have been a better choice.
I'd like to compliment you on the excellent content of your April issue ("A Passage to Indonesia"). I hope the next issue will be even better.

Dear Mr. Mu:
Thank you for your letter regarding the "Song of the Month." In fact, "Hero" did give "Happy Heaven" some strong competition, and it certainly didn't "bite the dust," as you say; it was a close runner-up to "Happy Heaven."

Editor's Note:
We have received quite a few letters concerning the "'Song of the Month" feature. Late last year, Ms. Wan Shen, radio hostess at "The Voice of Asia," forwarded to us a letter she received from a Vietnamese listener (see below).
In view of his current situation, we are not publishing his name. We thank Ms. Shen for sending on this letter.
Dear Ms. Shen:
Hello! I wonder if maybe I am the first Vietnamese listener to write to "The Voice of Asia." Not many people in Vietnam listen to "The Voice of Asia," and it's too bad. Your cheery programs are just what we need more of here.
I understand that this month's "Song of the Month" is "I Want to Fly." Could you please send me a copy of the lyrics? Like other people living under Communism here, I would really like to fly away from this "S-prison" (This expression was popularized in a Vietnamese language song; the "S" refers to the shape of my country).
I enjoy your "Song of the Month" feature very much, but wish it included more than just one song a month. There are so many good songs, like "The Applause Sounds," "Victory," and "The Minstrel." If possible, I'd really appreciate it if you could send me the lyrics to these songs, since they're not available in Vietnam. Thank you!
