To speed the delivery of posts between the ROC and Belgium, the Directorate General of Telecommunications (DGT) is currently undertaking exchange of electronic mail with Belgian Postal Authorities. The DGT says that Sino-Belgian electronic mail can be delivered to the recipient on the same or following day. The cost is NT$220 for the first page and NT$160 for each additional page. Aside from Belgium, countries which currently exchange electronic mail with the ROC are Britain, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Egypt, Brazil, Cypress, Macao, and Israel.
Further, the ROC has recently exchanged international express mail with Bolivia, Guatemala, and Salvador. The DGT indicates that Sino-Bolivian express mail can be sent with the two methods of fixed time and non-fixed time; the area served includes all of Bolivia; both documents and products are permitted. For Guatemala, commercial documents and products are permitted; the areas served include Guatemala City, Antigua, Quezaltenango, Huehuetenango, Retalhuleu, Puerto Barrio. For Salvador, only commercial documents are accepted; service includes all of Salvador. The cost for all three countries is the same: each item not over 500 grams costs NT$460, plus NT$150 for each additional 500 grams.
