In September 2025, the world’s design community will converge on London for the prestigious World Design Congress. Gathering leading designers from across the globe, the event will also spotlight Taiwan through a unique exhibition —Revealing Taiwan Through Design.
The exhibition is curated by Apex Pang-Soong Lin, laureate of the National Award for Arts and recipient of the Ministry of Culture’s Taiwanese Cultural Collaboration Medal. For more than three decades, Lin has taken Taiwan as the central theme of his visual works, making the island’s distinctive cultural landscape visible to the world through the Taiwan Image poster project, international exchanges, and his art practice. Lin’s work such as Letters from Taiwan and the Guan Zi Zai series, in which he gathers stones shaped like Taiwan from abroad have woven Taiwan into the shared visual vocabulary of art.
In this exhibition, a collective of Taiwanese designers present fifty posters and other work on the themes of Taiwan Image and International Public Welfare. Transformed creatively, the work will be displayed in the exhibition hall of the Taipei Representative Office in the United Kingdom. With design as the medium and Taiwan as the core, the exhibition invites the world to see not only the power of design, but also the spirit and strength of Taiwan itself.
