Taiwan Culture in Europe 2025|Art Diplomacy-Former Director of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts Liao Jen-I
This year marks the 400th anniversary of the first arrival of Europeans in Taiwan, and, to celebrate, Taiwan is giving our friends in Europe the opportunity to get to know Taiwan better through art!
As part of the Taiwan Culture in Europe series of events, we've cooperated with the former director of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Liao Jen-I, to curate an exhibition showcasing a range of talented Taiwanese artists portraying the stunning landscapes and seascapes of our island in a range of mediums, including ink, watercolors, and oil paint.
The exhibition is set to be hosted in 23 of our missions across Europe, in countries including Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Switzerland, Denmark, the UK (Edinburgh office), Spain, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden. We hope the exhibition will put the vitality of Taiwan's resilient and courageous ocean people center stage for those from Europe or further afield.
