Dear Sinorama:
Thanks for your informative and rewarding publication. Sinorama is the only Chinese magazine we get here at Saint Vincent College, and I enjoy reading it for news about our country. My only regret is that there is no news about overseas Chinese. If Sinorama could start up a "Students Abroad" or "Overseas Chinese" column to give us overseas students and overseas Chinese a chance to communicate and learn about each other, it would be like "adding flowers to brocade," or making a good thing even better.
May we all work together for a just and happy China.
Health and happiness,
Lin Yung-ming

Dear Editor:
Thanks to the efforts of you and your staff, Sinorama has substantial contents and a distinguished style. But I would like to make a few suggestions for your consideration:
First, I fully appreciate your emphasis on Taiwan as the main aim of your publication, but I miss articles on Chinese songs, folk songs, and ballads. Chinese living abroad rarely have a chance to hear Chinese songs. If you could start a song column with lyrics and simple arrangements, it would in some part ease our longing for home.
Secondly, when you report on places around the island, could you print up a two-page poster for us to put up and enjoy?
Thirdly, could you introduce new Chinese products and give overseas Chinese the details on domestic products, adding a mail-order service with special prices, if possible?
The above are merely humble suggestions. I beg you only to seriously consider the first. It may take a bit of work but it would bring Chinese culture to even more people.
My best to you and our country,
Hsieh Chung-p'ing
Hong Kong
Editor's Note: By happy coincidence, we have in this issue started both an information column to further communication between Chinese at home and abroad and a "Song of the Month" feature to introduce Chinese popular songs. In addition, we are planning to invite well known authors to work with us on a feature of "Recommended Fiction," selecting outstanding stories to share with our readers. As to introducing new domestic products and setting up a mail order service, we just do not have the hands at present. But we will keep your suggestions in mind for our long-term development plans.
