Labor's Changing:
Taiwan's industrious, well-educated labor force, which has been a major factor in attracting foreign investment to the R.O.C, is entering a period of change. It is as hardworking and industrious as ever, but its thinking, its wants, and its value concepts are different.
Can the soon-to-be-established Commission of Labor meet the needs of the changing labor force? By reflecting on labor-management relations in Japan, the U.S., and West Germany, can we come up with an ideal form of "Chinese-style" labor-management relations?
