In 2020 the Jiji Bamboo Shoot Production and Marketing Group was selected as one the top ten among Taiwan’s more than 6,000 agricultural production and marketing groups. Yujing District in Tainan City was originally the Tapani community of the Tsou indigenous people. Today it is the largest producer of mangoes in all of Taiwan, growing many varieties including Irwin and Jinhuang, with an annual harvest of about 10,000 metric tons.
