國際衛生組織(WHO)曾公佈針灸適應症,包括下列項目:

一、口腔和上呼吸道:

牙痛、拔牙後痛、齒齦炎、急慢性咽喉炎、急性竇炎、急性鼻炎、卡他性鼻炎、急性扁桃腺炎。

二、呼吸系統:

支氣管性氣喘(對兒童及沒有併發症的病人最有效)。

三、胃腸:

食道和賁門痙攣、呃逆、胃下垂、急慢性胃炎、胃酸過多、慢性十二指腸潰瘍(沒有併發症)、急慢性結腸炎、急性細菌痢疾、便秘、腹瀉、麻痺性腸塞。

四、眼睛:

急性結膜炎、中央視網膜炎、近視(較適於對兒童)、白內障(沒有併發症時)。

五、神經和肌肉骨胳:

頭痛、偏頭痛、三叉神經痛、顏面麻痺(早期,在三——六個月內)、中風後輕癱、周圍神經病變、脊髓灰白質的後遺症(早期,在六個月內)、美尼氏病、神經性膀胱功能失常、夜尿、肋間神經痛、頸臂叢癥候群、「冰凍肩」、「網球肘」、坐骨神經痛、下背痛、骨性關節炎。

而根據我國榮民總醫院針灸科研究及臨床經驗資料顯示,針灸療效範圍更廣,而有●記號者,正是療效已獲相當肯定的項目。

一、外科方面:

●外傷(包括扭傷、挫傷、骨折、脫臼等之止痛及縮短病程)

●手術後照顧,包括止痛及康復,排氣加速

●脊椎麻醉手術後之排尿困難

●體外電震碎石術之針刺麻醉

●良性前列腺肥大及輕度發炎

二、神經、精神及肌肉系:

●頭痛(血管收縮性頭痛、緊張性頭痛、偏頭痛)

面神經痛,麻痺及痙攣

三叉神經痛

●胸廓痛(包括肋間神經痛)

●坐骨神經及類似坐骨神經之疼痛

●下腰痛(尤以肌肉性者為佳)

●落枕(頸部僵痛)

腰椎間盤突出

●膝痛

●肩痛(包括冰凍肩)

●手肘痛

●肌膜疼痛症候群

●腳跟痛

中風後遺症(有助於進步,合併物理治療更佳)

歇斯底里症

戒煙

心因性陽萎

●關節炎(單一關節療效優於多關節)

減肥

失眠

●腦性麻痺症狀之改善

神經性膀胱失調

頸臂症候群

三、婦產科方面:

●安胎(以習慣性流產成功率高)引產

●經痛

四、口及耳鼻喉方面:

●眩暈、頭昏(包括暈船、暈車)

鼻炎、鼻竇炎

●牙痛(對手術後之止疼尤佳)

●喉痛及喉頭異物感(包括急性扁桃腺炎)

五、消化系方面:

痔及脫肛

●功能性胃腸病

●不安性大腸

便秘(包括腸蠕動之促進)

●單純腹瀉(包括小兒單純腹瀉)

打嗝(呃逆)

六、呼吸系方面:

●未有合併症之氣喘(止喘效果好,根治欠佳)

●胸悶

乾咳

七、皮膚方面:

●止癢(包括風疹、過敏)

●帶狀皰疹急性期之疼痛(對皰疹後之神經痛只有短暫止痛效果)

●蜂窩組織炎(丹毒)

青春痘

八、眼睛方面:

●眼簾痙攣

頑固之慢性結膜炎

淺度近視(暫時療效優於長期療效)

●無原因之視力不清

●眼痛(包括手術後眼痛)

Acupuncture Tips


The World Health Organization has publicly announced that acupuncture is suitable for treating the following:

1. Stomatic and Respiratory Disorders:

Toothaches, pain experienced after tooth extraction, gingivitis, acute or chronic angina, acute sinusitis, acute rhinitis, nasal catarrh, and acute tonsillitis

2. Pulmonary Disorders:

Bronchial asthma (Most effective in the treatment of children and patients who don't experience complications)

3. Gastric and Intestinal Disorders:

Esophageal and cardio spasms, hiccups, gastroptosis, acute or chronic gastritis, sour stomach, chronic duodenal ulcers (not experiencing any complication), acute or chronic colonitis, acute bacillary dysentery, constipation, diarrhea, and paralytic ileus

4. Eye Disorders:

Acute conjunctivitis, central retinitis, nearsightedness (in children), and cataracts (when there isn't complication)

5. Neurological and Muscular Disorders:

Headaches, migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, facial paralysis (early stage, three to six months), post-stroke paresis, peripheral neuritis, the segnela of myelitis (early stage, within six months), neurological bladder dysfunction, bed wetting, intercostal neuralgia, cervical-brachialplex, "frozen shoulder," "tennis elbow," sciatica, lower back pain, and osteoarthritis

The research and clinical records of the Department of Acupuncture at Veterans General Hospital show that the scope of treatment is even larger. Those marked by a boldfaced dot have been determined to be effective.

1. Surgery

● Injuries (including relieve from pain and quick recovery of sprains, contusions, bone fractures and dislocations)

● Post-operation care, including pain relief, recovery, and excess gas

● Dysuria after vertebra anesthesia

● Needle anesthesia of extracoporal electroshock lithotripsy

● Benign prostatomegaly and slight inflammation

2. Neurological, Psychological, and Muscular Disorders:

● Headaches (due to contraction of blood vessels and nerves)

Facial neuralgia, paralysis, muscle spasm, and trigeminal neuralgia
